The Staff Selection Commission has not formally announced the number of posts for SSC CHSL 2024. Candidates taking the test should be aware that, upon official release, they will be able to verify the number of posts for the positions.

    • The SSC CHSL selection process consists of two tiers:
      • Tier I: is an objective type of computer-based test (CBT) covering various subjects.
      • Tier II: A descriptive paper that includes a typing test/skill test for specific posts (such as DEO, PA/SA, LDC, and Court Clerk).
      • After clearing these stages, candidates proceed to document verification.

  2. Tier I Exam:
    • The Tier I exam includes multiple-choice questions (MCQs).

SSC CHSL 2024 Syllabus

 SSC CHSL (Staff Selection Commission Combined Higher Secondary Level) eligibility criteria for 2024. To be eligible for this examination, candidates must meet specific requirements set by the commission.

Here are the key eligibility criteria

  1. Nationality:
    • Candidates must be Indian citizens or fall under specific categories mentioned in the official notification.
    • The following nationalities are eligible:
      • Indian citizens.
      • Candidates from Bhutan or Nepal.
      • Tibetan refugees who came to India before January 1, 1962, to permanently settle in India.
      • Persons of Indian origin (PIOs) who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam to permanently settle in India.
  2. Age Limit:
    • The minimum age requirement is 18 years.
    • The maximum age limit is 27 years.
    • Age relaxation is applicable for certain categories:
      • SC/ST: 5 years of relaxation.
      • OBC: 3 years of relaxation.
      • PWD: 10 years of relaxation.
      • Ex-servicemen: 3 years of relaxation after deducting the service period.
  3. Educational Qualifications:
    • Candidates should have passed the 12th standard or an equivalent examination from a recognized board or university.
    • The specific educational qualification may vary depending on the post applied for:
      • LDC/JSAPA/SADEO (except DEOs in C&AG): 12th standard or equivalent.
      • DEO in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG): 12th standard in the Science stream with Mathematics as a subject or equivalent.
